Doyle’s Room Poker has changed its VIP program. That means it will no longer be offering Gold Stacks and has its own unique VIP program. This VIP program called Doyle’s Rewards has some really unique, interesting features. You become a member from the first real money hand you play. This is not a case of Carbon Poker or Play Aces Poker where you must earn thousands of points to reach the bottom tier. Once you play a hand, you reach Bronze Level.

There are six levels in the program which are determined by the Frequent Player Points (FPPs) to earn BrunsonBucks. (Yes, it is BrunsonBucks and not Brunson Bucks. English is uncool.) To go from Bronze to Silver, a player must earn 200 FPPs per month. Gold level requires 500 FPPs per month. Platinum requires 5,000 FPPs per month. Elite requires 20,000 FPPs per month, and finally Legends takes 50,000 FPPs per month.

For each level you get a BrunsonBucks multiplier. Bronze earns at the normal rate, Silver at 2x, all the way up to Legends at 6x. Bronze level players really don’t get much in the way of rewards. They can purchase up to $200 in bonus dollars per month in the store, plus store access. Silver players can purchase up to $500 in bonus dollars and get a monthly freeroll with the pros. Gold Status players can purchase up to $1,000 in bonuses plus the pro freeroll, a bounty tournament entry and they can also purchase $100 in cash from the store. Platinum members get all of that plus a free copy of Doyle Brunson’s book “The Godfather of Poker.” Elite players get all of the above plus a 10% discount in the VIP store. The cash exchange also increases at higher levels. From Gold you get $100 to $300 for Platinum to $1,000 for Elite to $3,000 for Doyle’s Legends. This system really makes me realize what inflation we’ve had on VIP levels. It used to be “Gold” was the best. Then platinum, then something above that. Now we have two levels above Platinum. It is like in the budget video game Earth Defense Force 2017 where HARDEST was the second highest level of difficulty. The highest was INFERNO. Or at the Indian place at Uconn, Hot wasn’t the spiciest level… SUICIDE was. But in both of those cases they had awesome names for the highest level. Doyle’s Legends? It doesn’t equal up to Suicide Wings.

The coolest features go to Legends players. They get all of the above (except their discount is 15%), 9% APR interest on their account, Concierge Service, exclusive Doyle’s Room events, exclusive WPT and WSOp qualifiers, “VIP Treats” and finally a limited edition copy of Super System 1 and Super System 2.

As for the VIP Store it is what you’d expect from an online poker store. Electronics like iPods and video game systems, Doyle’s Room themed merchandise, and of course… a Wii Wheel. I have no idea why, but most sites prominently display the fact you can buy a WII WHEEL. Very wacky. Not a member of Doyle’s Room?
