Canadian players,
I'm sure the majority of you are aware by now, but for those who aren't, the largest e-wallet used for Canadian poker players, Neteller, is pulling out of the Canadian market. There's a lot of speculation as to why this is, but there doesn't seem to be any solid reason, because
poker is legal in Canada. However it's best not to dwell on these things; Canadian players have until April 9th to do any deposits and withdrawals from gambling sites, and after that they will not be able to. Also, MyCitadel will not be allowing Canadians as of April 2nd.
So, what is next for Canadians? You should be looking into signing up at one of the following payment processors:
ePassporte,
Click2Pay and
Moneybookers. Here are the poker rooms that support these:
Moneybookers : Absolute Poker, B2B Network, Cake Poker, Everest Poker, IPoker Network, Microgaming/Prima Network, OnGame Network, Party Poker. Please use this link to sign up at
MoneyBookers as we get referral fees.
Click2Pay: Absolute Poker, Everest Poker, Full Tilt Poker, Interpoker, IPoker Network, Microgaming/Prima Network, Poker.com, PKR, Sun Poker, True Poker, Ultimate Bet.
ePassporte : Absolute Poker, Cake Poker, Full Tilt Poker, Pokerstars, Ultimate Bet.
Moneybookers Trip Report: Very easy to signup on the site. "Register" button is right on the front page, and registering only takes a couple of minutes. Moneybookers allows you to set your funds up in a variety of different currencies, so be sure to set your account to USD if playing in US-based poker rooms(as I do), so you don't get hit with the exchange rate. They send a verification e-mail, which arrived instantly. You then have to input your personal details, and if you make any mistakes you can easily change them, as I had to do as I am apparently an idiot who can't spell his own name. Once that is done, the account is all set up and ready to go. You have a transaction limit, however you can increase this by credit/debit card deposit or bank account and address verification. Please use
this link to sign up at Moneybookers .
We are currently testing out all three methods, and will add to this article in the coming days with more details about the signup process of epassporte & click2pay, as well as ease of depositing on all 3 methods. If you have anything to contribute, please e-mail us.
