After several months of their Hot Hands promotion, Pokertime has dropped it from their list of promotions for January. However, they have brought back their Points Challenge Rake Race, and their Pays To Play promotion. Both of these are more profitable for the average player. They work this way:

The Points Challenge is a rake race that is based on Pokertime’s Points system. The total prize pool is $50,000 and pays out to the top 500 places. 500th pays $10 all the way up to $3,650 for first. So it has a very shallow payout system so all players get a fair shake, not just a few high rollers.

The pays to play system is a reload bonus without the reload. More specifically, it is a tiered bonus system where players can earn multiple bonuses depending on their VIP level. All players can earn the first five bonuses which range from $3 to $13. However, to earn higher bonuses you must be at the higher VIP levels. If you are at the higher levels you earn better bonuses than at lower levels, and have more bonuses open to you, all the way up to a $90 dollar bonus. You can earn a lot of money with this system given all of the bonuses, and the fact you have 5 chances to win these bonuses throughout the month!
