The iPoker Network has decided to change its method of calculating rake. It formerly used the “dealt” method, which gives anyone who is dealt cards equal credit for the raked taken from the table. They will now use the contributed method. This means that you must contribute to the pot either by calling, raising or paying a blind to earn points for bonuses and VIP programs. The effect is obvious, if you are a tight player, you will now be earning bonuses much slower than you were previously. Different sites have announced different changes to compensate, so in coming days expect the Sun Poker, Titan Poker and other bonus reviews, as well as the iPoker Network guide to change to reflect changes to point payouts due to the new system.
