Full Tilt Poker has made a decision to not allow players to access its games within Washington State. The wording of their warning to players makes it clear that only people located within Washington are affected. If you are a resident and living elsewhere, you are fine. Here is what was sent to players:

Unfortunately, due to the recent Washington State Supreme Court ruling, real-money play at Full Tilt Poker is no longer permitted within Washington State.

In the interest of all of our players who play while in Washington State, we have invested significant time in legal consultation before coming to this decision.

Regrettably, with immediate effect this means that you will no longer be allowed to play for real money when located within Washington State.

Please note that you will only be affected if you are located in Washington State when you log in to our game software – you are free to play as normal when accessing the game from outside the state.

Please be assured that your funds are safe and secure in your Full Tilt Poker account and our Customer Support team is available to assist you with any queries that you may have.

If one reads between the lines it can be implied that this is encouraging the use of proxies, but I don’t know if that is actually their implication. They could very well just want to inform players in college in other states that call Washington home they are fine when they are outside of Washington.
