Full Tilt Poker launched The Black Card nearly 4 months ago, and they have made a significant change to the program. Usually change is bad in online poker, but this time it is a good thing if you are a high roller. They have added two new tiers to Black Card Membership with additional rewards at those levels.
The original system simply required you to achieve a 100 day rolling average of 500 Full Tilt Points, or $50 in rake. This would earn you Black Card status, and a bonus of 2x FTP Points. Now, the two new tiers allow you to earn 3x points and 4x points. To get 3x points a player must earn between 1,500 and 2,999 points in their rolling 100 day average. To get 4x points, a player must earn over 3,000 points per day in the rolling average. Each additional multiplier equates to about 3% extra rakeback per day when the rewards are calculated, so while it is not a giant incentive, if you are on the borderline of making these two thresholds, it is worth putting in a bit more volume. If you barely make it to Black Card status as it is, it would be foolish to triple your volume for the additional points.
In fact, this is the second positive change Full Tilt has put into effect for players. With the original FTP Points system it would take $56 dollars in rake for full ring players to reach $500 points, and $70 for tournament players. So Full Tilt has at least made an effort to make rewards more accessible to players. Not a member of Full Tilt Poker? Click here for more information or to sign up for 27% rakeback.
