Starting on May 1st and running for the next 60 days players will have VIP point totals to hit in hopes of being the Last Man Standing and a $35,000+ prize pool. These start at only 50 points per day. You must then hit your point totals each day to stay in. You will only be allowed to miss three days without being eliminated, miss more than three and you are out. The points go up every few days, first to 100 per day, then to 150 all the way up to 25,000 if the contest is still going on May 29th. For years it has been argued that the Wire Act should not apply to online poker, and if it does not this could lead to the re-emergence of the US market in online poker. It has been a long time since US players saw any reason to be optimistic, but this could be one. I am not getting my hopes up yet, but 2012 may be a new beginning.
